A large, well-resourced secondary school in Manchester is seeking an experienced and motivated Science Teacher to join their team from September. The successful candidate will teach Science across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to focus on a specialism (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) at GCSE level. The department is known for its collaborative culture and commitment to academic excellence and inclusive teaching.

Key responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across the science curriculum.

Prepare students for internal and external assessments, including GCSEs.

Promote independent thinking, inquiry-based learning, and enthusiasm for scientific discovery.

Contribute to departmental planning, resource development, and assessment strategies.

Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and achievement.

The ideal candidate will:

Hold QTS and a relevant degree in Science or a related field.

Have experience teaching Science to KS3 and KS4, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment requirements.

Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Be committed to professional development and collaborative practice.

Be adaptable, reflective, and eager to contribute to school life beyond the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
