Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Responsibilities

The role involves providing support to individuals who have been out of work for extended periods, helping them to overcome barriers to employment. Key responsibilities include:

Managing a high volume or complex caseload, supporting clients in their job search activities and developing realistic action plans.

Organizing and coordinating employment interviews and referrals for training to aid individuals in accessing sustainable employment.

Delivering employability support using models such as Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF).

Developing and delivering workshops on various topics, including CV preparation, interview techniques, and job clubs.

Maintaining accurate client records, tracking activity, and producing weekly reports on caseload and outcomes.

Protecting personal data in line with GDPR and other relevant legislation.

Continually developing industry knowledge and maintaining internal relationships to ensure optimal client support.

Promoting and supporting the Council's policies and procedures for safeguarding.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

GCSE education A-C level English & maths or equivalent.

Appropriate professional qualification or willingness to work towards one.

Proven experience in a recruitment or employment advisory environment, supporting individuals to achieve employment goals.

Knowledge of the Welfare to Work benefits system.

Proficiency in ICT packages, including Windows and Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to use databases.

Experience in organizing caseloads and achieving employment outcome targets.

Understanding of issues that create barriers to employment.

Familiarity with legislation and best practices related to information security and data protection.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to maintain engagement and progress clients into sustainable employment.
