Key Responsibilities

Support the commercial team
Carry out the following under supervision:
Prepare tenders - measure, put into packages, analyse.
Prepare variations/valuation
Prepare Final Accounts
Prepare s/c valuations
Attend site client meetings
Prepare client quotations/Estimates
Liaise with site management
Take responsibility for:
Maintaining site records, control documents
Measuring progress on site
Consider Risk & opportunity
Assist as required for larger value work
Produce for small value projects and report to SQS/MQS
Cash management
Timely application/invoices in line with client schedule
Understand & assist in the implementation of the commercial strategy
At all times act in a suitable & professional manner
Involved with & take some responsibility on traditional contracts
Involvement but no responsibility for:
Negotiation with subcontractors
Interpretation of contract lawExperience & Skills

Ability to effectively utilise a range of Microsoft Office tools
Able to manipulate, manage/interrogate data
Be fully conversant with the use of the Standard Method of Measurement
Demonstrate potential for clear written & oral communications
Demonstrate ownership/commercial awareness
Effective time management, organisational, interpersonal and negotiation skillsRequired Qualifications/Training

Completed a qualification in Quantity Surveying (HND/HNC Upwards)
