We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our manufacturing company on an interim basis. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to apply their accounting skills in a dynamic industry setting, with the potential to secure a permanent contract at the end of the assignment.

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Support the month-end and year-end close process.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial documents, as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Prepare and maintain important financial reports.
• Prepare tax documents and perform bookkeeping tasks.
• Assist with budget preparation and monitor financial data.
• Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
• Develop and maintain internal control procedures.
• Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems.

• Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or relevant role in accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software.
• Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• AAT qualification or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) is advantageous.

• Competitive daily rate of up to £130.
