A privately owned supplier to blue chip clients with a turnover of £250m is looking to recruit a Commercial Analyst. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Operations, Sales, and Finance to drive insight, performance, and smarter decision-making across the business.

About the Role

The Commercial Analyst will act as a key business partner to the Operations and Sales teams, delivering accurate, insightful analysis to inform commercial strategy and day-to-day decisions. You'll have direct responsibility for the financial oversight of key customer accounts and the development of costing and profitability models.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain financial models to support forecasting, costing, and performance tracking
Provide detailed analysis to support the annual budget and regular reforecasts
Partner with operations and sales teams to provide commercial insight and decision support
Produce profitability reporting and analyse variances and trends
Ensure business data is accurate, accessible, and used effectively
What We're Looking For:

Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, including advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
Ability to manage and manipulate large data sets into meaningful business reports
Experience presenting complex analysis clearly to non-finance stakeholders
Strong communication and relationship-building skills across departments
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA part-qualified/qualified, or equivalent experience
Commercially minded with a proactive, problem-solving approach
