IT Support Engineer. Based in Watford, Herts my client has a brand-new requirement for an IT Support Engineer. Please note this role is 100% based in the office and doesn't offer any WFH with working hours of 8.00 to 17.00 and 9.00 to 18.00. I am looking for someone with basic IT support/Desktop support skills (3-6 months in a similar role will do!), excellent communications skills to both technical and non-technical people will be essential.

You must have:

* Basic IT support/Desktop support skills.

* Excellent end user/customer service skills!

* 3- 6 months previous experience in a 1st line IT support role.

* Experience of software break/fix for PC's & Laptops, troubleshooting MS Operating Systems (Windows 7 to 10), MS Outlook Email, Office suite.

* Office 365 Admin.

* Active Directory (new user setup and password change etc.)

* Troubleshooting network connectivity problems in relation to Internet/Wi-Fi, PC's and printers.

Job Responsibilities:

* Monitor incoming incidents from managers via email, desk side or via the help desk software.

* Identify and carry out any immediate corrective action that can resolve or contain the issue directly, minimising disruption.

* Using technical and problem solving skills.

* Ensure ongoing incidents are managed efficiently and regular updates are provided.

* Resolving a wide variety of desktop software and hardware issues and requests.

* Assess and Escalate issues either for Development Support or Server Support team for speedy resolution.
