Senior Planner - Infrastructure & Construction | Permanent | UK-Wide Projects(Hybrid: 2 days from home, 3 days in the office)

We’re working on behalf of clients delivering some of the UK’s most complex and high-profile infrastructure programmes - and we’re looking for experienced Senior Planners to help make them happen.

This is a key opportunity to take ownership of schedule development, interface management, and stakeholder engagement across major schemes. If you’ve built your career in infrastructure and want to be part of a delivery-focused, multi-disciplinary environment, this could be the perfect fit.

What you'll be doing:
  • Developing accurate and achievable schedules for major construction projects.

  • Collaborating with cost, risk, and procurement teams to ensure aligned and robust estimates.

  • Supporting Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) and scenario planning.

  • Managing dependencies and project interfaces across various disciplines and stakeholders.

  • Promoting clear communication, transparency, and schedule ownership across delivery teams.

  • Validating plans using benchmark data and BIM/4D inputs where appropriate.

What we’re looking for:

Must-haves:

  • 5+ years of experience in planning roles within infrastructure or major construction programmes.

  • Strong Primavera P6 capabilities and confidence using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

  • Good understanding of civil engineering or multidisciplinary environments (e.g. Civils, M&E).

  • Ability to communicate complex programme information clearly and persuasively.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Exposure to BIM, 4D planning, or parametric estimating.

  • Degree-qualified or formally certified in project or programme management (e.g. APM, PRINCE2).

  • Familiar with contract types including NEC, JCT, FIDIC, and Alliances.

  • Membership of relevant professional bodies (APM, ICE, CIOB).

What’s on offer:
  • A permanent position with long-term career prospects.

  • Opportunities to contribute to nationally significant projects across transport, utilities, and energy.

  • A balanced hybrid working model - 2 days from home, 3 days office-based.

  • A forward-thinking, collaborative working environment where your expertise makes a difference.

You must have full right to work in the UK.
