Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a LGV Driver to join Rotherham Council on a temporary basis for 3 months.

LGV Driver - Waste & Recycling Services
Hours: Up to 39.5 hours per week (including daily vehicle checks)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 06:45 start.

In this vital frontline position, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of waste and recyclables from both residential and commercial properties. Working as part of a small crew, you'll lead by example to ensure high service standards and excellent customer care.

What You'll Do

Drive and operate LGV collection vehicles safely and efficiently

*

Lead, support and supervise a small crew during daily collection rounds

*

Carry out vehicle walk-around checks and maintain accurate records

*

Use the Bartec 'in-cab' system to update service data in real time

*

Ensure all waste is collected in line with schedules, policies and safety standards

*

Provide excellent customer service and represent the service positively

*

Work outdoors in all weather conditions and undertake manual handling tasks

Requirements:

*

Category C (LGV) driving licence - essential

*

Experience in waste operations, LGV driving or similar vehicle handling

*

Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks safely
