An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Derby City on a 1-year contract starting in September 2025.

The successful candidate will take full class teacher responsibility, delivering high-quality teaching and learning in line with the national curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for a Year 2 class

Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and support where needed

Mark work in accordance with the school's marking policy

Attend staff meetings, training sessions and contribute to wider school life

Collaborate effectively with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure positive outcomes for pupils

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - applications from ECTs are warmly welcomed

Have recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2

Demonstrate strong classroom management and a passion for supporting children's development

Be organised, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards
