A leading advisory firm is seeking a Contentious Insolvency Senior Administrator or Assistant Manager to join their specialist restructuring and investigations team. The role focuses on complex, sensitive assignments involving litigation support, asset recovery and director investigations, offering strong progression and high-quality exposure.

Key Responsibilities

Case Management & Investigations

  • Manage a portfolio of contentious insolvency cases across administrations, liquidations and bankruptcies.
  • Conduct work on director conduct, antecedent transactions and potential recoveries.
  • Prepare investigation reports, asset summaries, witness statements and litigation-support documents.
  • Work with legal advisers on strategy, evidence preparation and disclosure.
  • Review financial records and company information to identify potential claims.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with solicitors, counsel, creditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Communicate with directors and third parties on sensitive matters.
  • Attend interviews, meetings and case briefings.

Technical & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare statutory reports, SIP statements and progress updates.
  • Maintain accurate case records and audit trails.

Team Support

  • Guide and review junior staff work.
  • Assist senior team members with case planning and workstream management.

Requirements

Experience

  • Background in contentious insolvency, investigations, forensic work, litigation support, or core formal insolvency with a strong interest in moving into contentious work.
  • Completed the statutory investigation aspects of formal liquidations.
  • Experience working with legal teams or handling document review/evidence is beneficial.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator, able to handle sensitive conversations professionally.
  • Excellent report-writing skills for legal and regulatory audiences.
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple workstreams.

Qualifications

  • CPI (preferred but not essential).
