Maintenance Engineer (Multi-Skilled) - Day Shift

A leading FMCG manufacturing business is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support production operations at a high-volume processing site.

The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will provide proactive and reactive engineering support, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

Planned, preventative and reactive maintenance (PPM & breakdowns)
Fault finding, root cause analysis and problem resolution
Support production and resolve process / equipment issues
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Equipment / Machinery

Conveyors: bucket elevators, drag chain, augers
Milling & grinding equipment (hammer mills)
Mixing and blending systems
Pellet presses / processing machinery
Steam systems and boilers
Automated packing / bagging lines
Pneumatics and pneumatic conveying
Motors, gearboxes, bearings, drives
PLCs and electrical control systems

Requirements

Time-served engineer with 2+ years' maintenance experience
Multi-skilled (electrical & mechanical)
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Experience with conveyors / bulk handling systems
Knowledge of pneumatics and electrical controls
Able to work independently and within a team
Comfortable in fast-paced manufacturing environments

Location: North Yorkshire area
Shift: Day shift - 40 hours per week
Option 1: Thursday-Sunday
Option 2: Friday-Monday
