Hybrid working | £140,000 | No following requiredOpportunity to lead, shape and grow a team | Strong client base | Varied caseload
I’m working on a standout opportunity for a Senior Employment Lawyer to step into a Partner-level role at a forward-thinking, growing firm with real ambition across the Midlands and nationally.
This is a chance to join a well-respected practice with an existing pipeline of high-quality work – no following needed. You’ll be leading on a mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, as well as supporting corporate colleagues on transactional matters. The firm has particular strength in advising commercial clients across sectors like manufacturing, retail, and technology, alongside some personal employment work.
? The scope includes:
- Complex dismissals, grievance/disciplinary issues, discrimination, and protected conversations
- TUPE and employment elements of M&A deals
- Employment tribunals and wider dispute resolution
- Day-to-day HR and strategy advice for business clients
- The flexibility to shape your caseload around your strengths and interests
You’ll also be supported by a junior team of 3–7 PQE lawyers, with scope to further grow and mentor a high-performing unit. This is very much a key strategic hire for the firm.
Why this role?
- £140,000 salary
- Clear leadership role with autonomy and strategic input
- No need to bring a following – existing client base is strong and growing
- Genuinely collaborative, open culture
- Modern, flexible working (hybrid set-up with strong support from wider offices)
- Opportunity to shape the team and future of the employment offering in Nottingham
Whether you're already operating at Partner level or a Legal Director looking to make the step up, this is a fantastic chance to join a progressive and people-first firm where your voice will be heard and your impact recognised.
