HR Administrator

Our growing client is seeking a part-time HR Administrator in a newly created role, working across all aspects of the HR function. Supporting the Head of HR, this is varied role working part-time, 25 hours per week.

HR Administrator Responsibilities

This position will involve, but will not be limited to:

Organise and update employee data in HR systems, ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards.
Assist in the hiring process by posting job ads, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and managing onboarding activities.
Update HR policies and provide guidance to staff and managers on HR procedures and best practices.
Gather and analyse HR metrics, preparing regular reports to support decision-making and track workforce trends.
Act as a contact point for HR queries, supporting the resolution of workplace issues and managing employee absences.
Monitor changes in employment law, maintain proper documentation, and support audits to ensure HR practices are compliant.

Our client is a growing scientific organisation in Oxford.

This is a part-time role working 25 hours per week ideally split over 5 days, but other options will be considered, with flexibility around start-finish times.

HR Administrator Essentials

A professional and proactive self-starter.
Experience in a varied administrative role, ideally within HR. 
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels, demonstrating a high level of confidentiality and diplomacy.
Strong MS Office and database skills, including Excel
Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
Able to work independently.

This is a hybrid-working role based in Oxford, with free onsite parking available.
