SALARY: £11.11 p/H

LOCATION: Belfast

HOURS: 37.5 Monday - Friday

JOB SUMMARY:

The post holder will be ultimately responsible to the Director Planning, Performance and Corporate Services and will be involved in the continued development and provision of a high quality information and analysis function to support all functions of the client.

MAIN DUTIES:

• Provide administrative support to the Information Governance and Informatics Team.

• Work closely with the Information Manager and Team colleagues to ensure the provision of high quality management information and analysis in support of business.

• Deal with Telephone queries from patients and other relevant personnel and at all times maintain a courteous and pleasant manner

• Request and print letters, documents, labels and reports using related electronic systems

• Use a range of computer packages and systems such as Excel, MS Access, and MS Outlook.

• Develop and maintain a good knowledge of information systems and data definitions surrounding statutory returns and regional guidance.

• Develop, organise, manage and maintain filing systems both manually and electronically in line with Good Management/Good Records guidelines and office standards.

• All administrative functions including word-processing, inputting into Access Databases, dealing with telephone queries, filing, reprocessing etc.

• Support data cleaning of clinical records; this includes opening manual clinical records, removing duplicates and recording information in excel spreadsheets and associated databases.

• Scanning of clinical records and accessing and sourcing clinical records using bespoke software and use of query software

• Any other duties, appropriate to the grade which may be assigned as the role develops.

• Provide administrative support to the wider information team when required.

• Participate in identifying the strengths and limitations of existing data sources.

• Make use of IT technology to drive improvements in service delivery.

People Management and Development

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Experience/ Qualifications/ Registration

• 4 GCSE's at grade C/4 or above to include English Language or equivalent qualification and 1 year's clerical/administration experience

OR

• NVQ Level II in Administration and 1year's clerical/administration experience.

OR

• A minimum of three year's administrative clerical experience.
