Commercial Vehicle Quality Technician

About the Role

We're recruiting on behalf of our client for a Commercial Vehicle Quality Technician to join a busy production and workshop environment. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring all vehicle builds, modifications, and installations meet strict quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications before delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Inspection & Assurance

* Carry out detailed inspections of completed commercial vehicles, including bodywork, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems

* Inspect conversions such as lutons, dropsides, platforms, and curtain siders

* Ensure all work meets job cards, technical drawings, and build specifications

Compliance & Standards

* Ensure all builds comply with company procedures, safety standards, and relevant regulations

* Verify that build documentation and inspection records are completed accurately

* Support adherence to manufacturer and industry standards

Production Support & Continuous Improvement

* Work collaboratively with production teams to maintain high-quality build standards

* Provide feedback on recurring issues and quality concerns

Documentation & Reporting

* Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records

* Ensure documentation is stored correctly for audit and traceability purposes

* Clearly communicate defects and rework requirements to relevant teams

Health, Safety & Housekeeping

* Follow all health & safety procedures and safe working practices

* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment

* Adhere to company policies and housekeeping standards

About You

We're looking for someone with a strong eye for detail and a proactive approach to quality control.

* Previous experience working with commercial vehicles in a workshop, manufacturing, or conversion environment

* Good understanding of vehicle body builds and installation processes

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications
