Manager of Talent and Organizational Development - Financial Services

Primary Job Functions:

  • Work with the leadership team and team managers to identify workforce needs and translate these into clear and compelling job descriptions

  • Proactively develop talent recruitment strategies and related action plans

  • Refine annual review processes and develop new training programs

  • Facilitate communications and feedback channels that build a positive, inclusive, performance-based culture across the organization

  • Manage hiring process for associate and manager level role

  • Draft jobs descriptions and post to job boards

  • Coordinate interviews, conduct interviews, check references and prepare offer letter

  • Led and coordinate On-boarding plan for new associates

  • Implement company culture, values and policies

  • Provide management with requested reports and documents

  • Coordinate events focused on employee recognition

  • Accurately maintain employee files

  • Refine and implement talent development processes

  • Evaluate and evolve the annual review process to achieve a balance between the consistency needed across the firm and the flexibility needed by each team

  • Work with and coach managers' individual development plans including skills, process knowledge and interpersonal development

  • Manage and facilitate annual compensation and bonus reviews

  • Develop training programs around critical competencies and talent development goals

  • Forecast organizational needs with input from leadership and team managers

  • Develop regular reporting for leadership and managers to track capacity

  • Anticipate new roles as the firm grows and make recommendations

  • Develop flexible career tracking that allows for sequential career progression or progression without a change in job title

  • Foster a collaborative environment across partners and associates

  • Act as an ombudsperson for associates to raise concerns and resolve conflicts when they are uncomfortable doing so directly with leadership or management

  • Champion D&I initiatives within the firm to ensure both equality in hiring and the fostering of an inclusive environment

  • Work with technology resources to create reporting of KPIs related to our human capital

  • Develop regular reporting for leadership and managers to track capacity and hiring needs across teams

Manager of Talent and Organizational Development - Financial Services

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3+ years working in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition preferably within the RIA or personal financial services space

  • Has performed management, recruiting, and career development responsibilities

  • Candidates must demonstrate that they can self-motivate to work efficiently and independently without close supervision

  • An intuitive knowledge of when to develop process internally or search for resources externally

  • Capable of thinking strategically

  • Excellent communicator

  • Collaborative personality with strong interpersonal skills

  • Desire to engage expertise across the organization

  • Experience working alongside of Legal Counsel and Compliance with employment regulations

  • Well organized

  • Proficiency in working with social media, job boards and recruiters to source new hires

  • Ability to learn new software and management systems

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
