Head of Geography– Candidate Specification
To be considered for the Head of Geography role, you should demonstrate the following:Hold QTS - qualified teacher with QTS and substantial experience in teaching English across most Key Stages
Have a strong academic background, with a 2:1 or above from a leading university
Have experience of leadership or management within an English department or wider school structure
Possess at least 5 years of teaching experience demonstrating a track record of success in the classroom
Demonstrate excellent knowledge of English curriculum design, assessment practice, and effective pedagogy
As the Head of English, you should be proactive in fostering a culture of high expectations, challenge, and success for all students
