Have you worked with a young learner with Type 1 Diabetes?Have you been trained by a paediatric diabetes specialist nurse?This Lambeth primary school is looking for a full time Teaching Assistant to support a child in Key Stage 2 with Type 1 Diabetes.Training and previous experience in this area is a must, but you will be supported by other members of the team who are also trained. The role will involve monitoring blood sugar and taking detailed and accurate notes, providing snacks when necessary and counting carbs during lunch.If you have a medical background and are curious about moving into education, this could be the role for you!Classroom training will be provided to ensure you are fully empowered in this position.This is a full time role, 5 days per week, term time only.
