The Opportunity

We're working with a well-established and growing engineering business within the pump and water solutions sector, looking to bring in a skilled Electrical Technician to strengthen their Gloucester depot team.

This is a hands-on, technically engaging role offering a mix of workshop and on-site projects, ideal for someone who wants variety, stability, and long-term career progression within a specialist industry.

The Role

You'll play a key role in maintaining and supporting pumping systems and associated electrical equipment, ensuring everything is operating safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

Repairing, servicing, and testing electrical control panels

*

Installing and connecting pumps and control panels both in the depot and on customer sites

*

Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs

*

Conducting electrical testing and system calibration

*

Commissioning electrical systems to meet client requirements

*

Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics

*

Maintaining accurate service and installation records

*

Liaising with clients on-site to ensure smooth delivery of work

*

Working in line with all health & safety standards

What We're Looking For

*

Proven experience as an Electrical Technician (ideally within industrial or pump environments)

*

Strong understanding of electrical systems, control panels, and fault finding

*

Ability to interpret relay logic and analyse control systems

*

Experience working with submersible pumps (desirable)

*

Competent in reading technical diagrams and schematics

*

Strong hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset

*

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)

Desirable (Not Essential)

*

2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)

*

Experience with variable speed drives

*

Background in the water or utilities sector (e.g. AMP frameworks)

*

Relevant electrical qualifications
