We are recruiting on behalf of a long-standing partner - a specialist education provision in the Newton Abbot area - for a dedicated Education Support Worker to join their team as soon as possible.

The Role:
This full-time, term-time only role offers the chance to work across a secondary specialist site in Newton Abbot with some outreach support at nearby primary and off-site provisions. You’ll play a key part in helping young people with complex needs achieve both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN and behavioural needs

Plan and deliver tailored learning and intervention activities

Build positive, trusting relationships that help remove barriers to learning

Support students both on-site and in outreach/community settings

Collaborate closely with teachers and other professionals to create a consistent, therapeutic learning environment
Who We’re Looking for:

Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a SEN, AP or pastoral setting

A calm, confident and adaptable approach to situations

Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills

Committed to inclusive trauma-informed and person-centred support

Must have a full UK driving licence, your own vehicle and at least 2 years driving experience

Business insurance to transport students if needed (or willingness to obtain)

A good sense of humour and a genuine desire to make a lasting impact
