Accounts Assistant/Legal Cashier Winchester £23/27k DOE

We are supporting our client in Central Winchester in the search for a Legal Cashier/Accounts Assistant. The role is full time and is an office-based role in Winchester. There is also some scope for progression over time.

We are ideally looking for someone who has worked as a Legal Cashier hence the salary range but would also consider someone from a Legal/Accounts Assistant background looking to develop their existing experience.

The Role Overview

Processing of daily payments
Paying in cheques
Bank reconciliation
Managing petty cash transaction
Processing bills
Month end processes
Dealing with ledger and payment enquiries
End of year auditor enquiries
Retrieving files from onsite and offsite storage
Archiving of Wills and Deeds
Processing of Money Laundering Files
Reception cover (lunch breaks / post run times

The Team is supportive and will invest their time in supporting the right person to do well in this role.

This is a full-time office-based role with hours of 08:45 - 17:00 and an hour for lunch. (Monday to Friday)
25 days holiday plus BH and your Birthday off, the company often close during the Christmas period and give you these days as an addition to your core holiday days.
Currently an additional cost of living payment to all staff paid quarterly until July 2024
The salary range is dependent on experience and the ideal requirements, this will be discussed with you on application based on your experience
