The Role

As Payroll Officer / Payroll Assistant you will be a key support to the client base, providing support and guidance as well as processing a range of clients' payrolls. Your role will include:

* Processing starters and leavers, making adjustments, statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, SPP and processing pension payments

* Prepare PAYE and ESP reports to be submitted each month

* Providing information to HMRC, ensuring compliance and handling any queries

* Processing pension payments to the correct schemes

* Develop and maintain strong client relationships

Payroll Officer Role Requirements

* Experience of using cloud-based payroll software

* Strong IT skills including Excel

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

* Ability to confidently calculate gross to net payroll
