We are working with Bolton Council to find a Change Manager on an interim basis. Location: Bolton. 3 days per week in office. Job Type: Full-time Umbrella Day rate: £230 per day Length of role: Initial 3 months We are seeking an experienced Change Manager to lead and deliver a range of strategic, multi-stakeholder projects within our Change Programme. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex change programmes, with a focus on customer-centric service redesign, and the ability to think strategically at a system level.Day-to-day of the role:- Lead and manage specific projects within and across directorates to ensure timely delivery of transformation programmes. - Develop and mentor project staff to achieve quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness of delivery and reporting. - Monitor, track, evaluate, and report on the realisation of project and programme level benefits. - Provide strategic and operational support to elected members, managers, and staff, maintaining a relentless focus on our customers. - Assist service managers in the change process, supporting the development of business cases and mobilising projects to improve services and cost efficiency. - Support the Corporate Programme Manager in managing the overall transformation programmes, adopting a flexible and collaborative approach to change delivery. - Engage in national, regional, and sub-regional transformation and collaboration initiatives. - Manage financial aspects of projects, ensuring value for money and cost efficiencies. - Ensure compliance with organisational policies, standing orders, and financial regulations. Required Skills & Qualifications:- Excellent programme and project management skills with the ability to lead complex change programmes. - Strategic thinking and analytical skills to develop practical, effective, and sustainable solutions. - Demonstrable experience in business process re-engineering tools such as LEAN and systems thinking. - Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire. -Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively at all organisational levels. - Commercial awareness and robust business case development skills.
