What You Will Do

Johnson Controls is hiring a Fire Alarm Service Engineer for a static role at a chemical plant in Barry, near Cardiff. We are looking for an experienced engineer in fire detection systems, with a desire to train and qualify in gas suppression. You’ll be part of a dedicated on-site team delivering maintenance and servicing of fire alarm and suppression systems, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance. Daily client interaction is part of the role to ensure smooth site operations.

How You Will Do It

• Service and maintain fire alarm systems

• Complete accurate on-site documentation

• Attend required training and toolbox talks

• Liaise with site contacts for permits to work

• Support with occasional passive fire tasks

• Provide out-of-hours call-out cover (rota)

• Identify and report safety or compliance risks

• Adhere to site-specific safety and quality rules

• Represent Johnson Controls with professionalism
