Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION:

 

Provide support and assistance to assigned sales manager. This individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

 

· Maintains promotional database by inputting invoice and bill-back data.

· Updates managers by consolidating, analyzing, and forwarding daily action summaries.

· Resolves order and inventory problems by investigating data and history; identifying alternate means for filling orders; notifying managers and customers.

· Provides product, promotion, and pricing information by clarifying customer request; selecting appropriate information; forwarding information; answering questions.

· Forwards samples by entering request; arranging shipment; notifying customer.

· Prepares sales presentations by compiling data; developing presentation formats and materials.

· Tracks sales expenses by tracking, consolidating, analyzing, and summarizing expenses; forwarding for reimbursement.

· Email the lab for 1 day in-house turn around (if needed).

· Confer with Receiving / QC Team on All Incoming/Outgoing.

· Confer with Receiving/QC Team on All Large Shipments In/Out.

· Review Team Past Due PO’s & SO’s (Weekly).

· RMA & RTV Processes.

· Weekly Customer Portal Update.

· Managers Coverage - Calls, Emails.

· Additional Team Member Coverage (conferences, vacations, busy days)

· Field & Distribute RFQ’s, Phone Calls etc.

· Maintain Full Team Schedule/Calendar.

· Maintain Open Opportunities for All Customers & Discuss Monthly.

· Account Base Prospecting.

· File/Maintain Existing Files.

· Book All Travel - When Needed.

· Confer on All Conferences.

· Special Project Design.

· Daily Action Plans.

· Organize Managers.

· Help track individual customer quality and delivery ratings.

· Comply with all customer quality requirements.

· Ensure compliance with company code of conduct and all applicable laws, regulations, rules and policies.

· Comply with all requirements of the AS9120, ISO 9001, ASA-100, and IDEA QMS 9090 Quality Management System, the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, and criteria of CCAP-101, AS6081, and ANSI/ESD-S20.20.

 

Sales Assistant Skills and Qualifications:

 

· Email the warehouse for stock checks when needed.

· Market Research.

· Confer with Receiving / QC Team on All Incoming/Outgoing.

· Confer with Receiving/QC Team on All Large Shipments In/Out.

· Review Team Past Due PO’s & SO’s (Weekly).

· RMA & RTV Processes.

· Weekly Customer Portal Update.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCY:

 

· High School Diploma - College education preferred.

· No prior industry work experience required.
