Finance Business Partner

Full Time | 35 hours per week
Location: Central London - 2 days in the office required

We are currently looking for a Finance Business Partner to join a UK charity that supports people seeking safety.

Reporting to the Finance Controller, the Finance Business Partner will provide expert financial support and insight to teams across the organisation - including Fundraising, People & Culture, and Services.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for your portfolio, prepare clear analysis and dashboards for managers, support grant and fund management, and build financial capability across teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting for departments and services

  • Produce management reports, variance analysis, and financial insight

  • Build strong partnerships with budget holders and operational teams

  • Support grant and fund budgeting, monitoring, and reporting

  • Ensure compliance with donor conditions and internal financial controls

  • Advise on business cases, proposals, and operational planning

  • Strengthen financial capability across non-finance teams through coaching

  • Support audit processes and continual improvement in financial management

About You
  • A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent)

  • Experience using Microsoft Business Central is essential for this role
  • Experience in management accounting, forecasting, and financial analysis

  • Strong business partnering skills and confidence working with senior managers

  • Experience supporting budget holders to plan and monitor performance

  • Knowledge of fund accounting and grant/reporting compliance (ideally in a charity context)

  • Understanding of internal controls and audit processes

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style

  • Ability to explain finance concepts clearly to non-finance colleagues

  • Experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector is desirable but not essential.
