Responsibilities of this role:
- Hold and manage a complex caseload within the Families First / Early Help pathway
- Undertake high-quality children and family assessments and interventions
- Provide support, guidance, and informal mentoring to Social Workers
- Lead on child-in-need and edge-of-care cases to prevent escalation
- Work intensively with families to build resilience and reduce risk
- Coordinate and contribute to multi-agency planning and reviews
- Support effective step-down from statutory services where appropriate
- Model strengths-based, whole-family, and relationship-based practice
- Maintain accurate, timely case records and statutory documentation
- Ensure children’s voices and lived experiences are central to all interventions
Requirements of this role:
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
- Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
