Mechanical Project Manager

Location: Manchester (with occasional travel & lodging)

We're working with a growing building services contractor looking to appoint a Mechanical Project Manager to support delivery across a range of projects.

The business has a strong pipeline across healthcare, education, and commercial sectors, with projects typically up to £5m in value. This role offers a clear progression route, starting on smaller schemes with the opportunity to move onto larger projects over time.

The Role

Managing mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to completion
Overseeing delivery across programme, cost, quality, and coordination
Managing subcontractors alongside in-house engineers
Using project platforms such as Procore, ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud), Asite or similar
Overseeing commissioning and ensuring smooth handover of projects
Producing and managing commissioning plans, O&M manuals, and handover documentation
Supporting or leading pre-construction activities where requiredWhat We're Looking For

Strong background in mechanical building services, including:
Wet systems (heating, chilled water, domestic services)
Ventilation
Air conditioning
BMS controls
Sprinkler systems
Good understanding of current regulations and industry standards (including HTM where relevant)
Experience delivering projects of a similar size and value
Strong coordination skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholdersWhat's on Offer
