About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a well-established residential care home based in Lymington.

This role involves providing high-quality, person-centred care to children and young people within a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. You will support their emotional well-being, behavioural development, and daily routines while ensuring safeguarding standards are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day care and support within a children’s residential setting
  • Support emotional, behavioural, and social development
  • Promote independence, dignity, and well-being
  • Follow strict safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Assist with daily routines (meals, education, activities, bedtime)
  • Maintain accurate care plans, logs, and reports
  • Work effectively within a team-based care environment
Shift Patterns (Rota) Waking Night Shifts
  • Rolling 2-week rota:
  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday
  • Hours: 21:30 – 08:00
Day Shifts (35 Hours Contract)
  • 07:30 – 21:30
  • 06:30 – 20:30
  • 14:30 – 21:30

Flexibility is essential as shifts are based on service requirements

Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in Children’s Residential Care / Support Work
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) – Desirable
  • Strong knowledge of Safeguarding & Child Protection
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour professionally
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Required)
  • Must have full right to work in the UK (No sponsorship available)
