The Facility HVAC Technician Trainee duties will include, but not be limited to: Under the supervision of an HVAC Technician, perform HVAC and Mechanical operations and maintenance of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, exhaust, and mechanical systems supporting cleanroom and office operations; preventive maintenance; lock-out tag-out protocol; inventory and facility operating system document control; monitoring and responding to all facility reporting alarms & controls; system balancing; operation and maintenance of boilers, chillers, compressors, pumps, air handling units, etc.; understanding all related disciplines such as process, waste and water treatment, building automation; attention to customer satisfaction and support; must conduct work in an independent manner; This position will primarily be assigned to the D1 day shift with 12 hour shifts (7:00am to 7:30pm). Assigned days will be Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday. There will be opportunities for overtime hours. This is an essential personnel position for the maintenance and operation of the campus during an emergency situation. Other reasonable duties as assigned.





Job Requirements:

The positions requires: a technical trade degree from college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization or 2 years of Mechanical/HVAC experience in facility operations, service industry or construction environment. Good communications skills and proficient use of Microsoft Office and computer maintenance management programs are also required; must have ability to provide off shift coverage; good communications skills and experience in Microsoft Office programs is also required. This is an essential personnel position for the maintenance and operation of the campus during an emergency situation.





Preferred Qualifications:





Experience with the installation and operation of integrated Building Management Systems (i.e. Siemens, Honeywell) and PLC's. EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification or the ability to earn certification within one (1) year from date of hire.
