Overview

We are partnering with a leading consultancy to recruit a Sustainability Consultant for their Manchester studio. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking team delivering sustainable solutions across a broad range of high-profile projects.

The Role
  • Work closely with clients and internal teams to develop and implement sustainability strategies

  • Carry out environmental assessments and provide practical, data-driven recommendations

  • Track and report on sustainability performance across projects

  • Support continuous improvement in environmental performance across both projects and operations

  • Engage in ongoing learning and development through training, mentoring, and CPD activities

  • Contribute to a collaborative team culture through participation in studio and company-wide initiatives

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop sustainability strategies, including frameworks for monitoring and reporting performance

  • Deliver net zero carbon studies and advisory services

  • Provide guidance on NABERS and wider ESG requirements

  • Lead or support environmental certification processes such as BREEAM, LEED, SKA, and WELL

  • Carry out life cycle assessments using tools such as One Click LCA

  • Support compliance with environmental standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 50001

  • Keep up to date with evolving legislation, policy, and industry trends to inform project delivery

About You
  • Experience within sustainability consultancy in the built environment

  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and industry drivers

  • Track record of delivering sustainability strategies and certification processes

  • Familiarity with key frameworks and tools including BREEAM, LEED, WELL, NABERS, SKA, and LCA software

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
