HR Advisor – Central Bristol (Hybrid)

Full-time | Professional Services | Hybrid 

Are you an experienced HR Advisor looking for a varied and impactful role within a highly professional environment? This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected organisation and act as a trusted first point of contact for all HR-related support across the employee life cycle.

Working closely with stakeholders at all levels, you’ll provide proactive, solutions-focused HR guidance, drive engagement initiatives, and support managers to deliver best practice in all aspects of people management.

The Role

As HR Advisor, you will deliver high-quality, end-to-end HR support including:

Employee Relations & People Management

  • Coaching and advising managers on ER issues, performance, absence, wellbeing, organisational change, and recruitment.
  • Providing expert guidance to ensure consistent, compliant, and people-centred HR practices.

Employee Life Cycle

  • Managing onboarding, inductions, contract issuance, and new starter check-ins.
  • Overseeing absence processes, family leave, and general HR queries.
  • Supporting annual pay review processes, including benchmarking and documentation.
  • Conducting exit interviews and identifying key themes.

HR Operations & Projects

  • Supporting firmwide engagement initiatives including wellbeing programmes, ED&I activity, and employee forums.
  • Producing HR metrics and management information for senior leaders.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement across HR processes and policies.
  • Collaborating with the wider HR team on operational and strategic projects.

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Demonstrable experience in an HR Advisor role.
  • CIPD qualification (or are working towards it).
  • Strong knowledge of HR policy, employment law, and people management best practice.
  • Experience in professional services (ideal, not essential).
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
  • A proactive, solutions-driven mindset with strong organisational skills.
  • High proficiency in Excel and HR reporting.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.
