Location:  Newcastle Upon Tyne  - Hybrid role 3 days in office 

PURPOSE OF ROLE

Lawes is recruiting on behalf of a leading insurance brokerage for a dynamic and experienced Corporate Account Executive. Our client is one of the fastest growing brokers in the UK, due to this expansion , they are now seeking a dynamic Account Executive to join the team. The role focuses on client retention, strategic renewal planning, and proactive new business development through a consultative, relationship-driven approach.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing tailored  insurance solutions that meet evolving business needs
  • The role includes overseeing renewals, negotiating with insurers, maintaining FCA and Consumer Duty compliance, and ensuring high standards of client service
  • You'll be expected to identify and convert new business opportunities, collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless service, and remain up to date with market trends and risks
  • Accuracy in record-keeping, audit readiness, and ethical client handling are essential throughout

DAY-TO-DAY

  • Conduct client meetings (virtual and in-person) to review renewals, coverage needs, and new opportunities
  • Liaise with underwriters and insurers to secure competitive terms
  • Use insurance platforms and CRM systems to process policies and maintain accurate client records

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as an Account Executive in commercial insurance
  • Demonstrated ability to retain clients and win new business through proactive, consultative sales
  • Solid background in managing complex client portfolios
  • Thorough understanding of FCA regulations and Consumer Duty requirements

SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, markets, and underwriting practices
  • Proficiency with insurance systems and client management platforms
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organised with strong time management and multitasking abilities
  • A proactive, client-first approach focused on delivering value and long-term solutions
