Job DescriptionThe Senior Reward Manager plays a critical role in shaping, implementing and governing Connells Group’s reward framework across 14,000 colleagues.You will lead in delivering a more consistent, transparent, and data-led approach to reward, supporting the Group’s transformation towards a modern, insight-driven and tech-enabled People function.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the design, review and delivery of Group-wide reward policies, ensuring consistency, equity and alignment to Connells Group HOUSE values and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with external to ensure the Group maintains competitive and sustainable reward practices.
- Support the ongoing refinement and implementation of the Group’s job architecture, grading structures and compensation bands.
- Manage annual market benchmarking cycles, producing evidence-based recommendations on pay positioning and structural adjustments.
- Provide specialist reward insights to support organisation design, restructures, M&A integration, and strategic workforce planning.
- Support the design, modelling, testing and governance of bonus and commission schemes across Estate Agency, Mortgage Services, Central Functions and specialist business lines.
- Support the development of the Group benefits strategy, ensuring packages are competitive, cost-effective and aligned to colleague needs.
- Oversee supplier relationships, tender processes and benefit renewals (e.g., healthcare, pension, wellbeing, flexible benefits).
- Partner closely with the People Systems team to embed reward processes in Workday, ensuring accurate configuration, governance and streamlined workflows.
- Drive the use of data and insight to improve reward decision-making, including pay equity analysis, cost modelling, forecasting and scenario planning.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of all annual reward events, including pay review, bonus cycles and benefits renewals
- Support the production of Exec/RemCo papers, modelling and recommendations, ensuring senior leaders have clear, evidence-based options.
What we are looking for:Strong track record in reward management within complex, multi-brand or matrix organisations.
- Deep knowledge of compensation principles, job evaluation, benchmarking, incentive design and benefits management.
- Experience delivering pay and bonus cycles at scale (10,000+ colleagues desirable).
- Ability to interpret complex financial and regulatory information and translate it into practical proposals.
- Advanced analytical capability, including reward modelling and scenario analysis.
- Strong influencing skills, able to work with senior executives and challenge constructively.
- Experience partnering with external reward consultants on frameworks, benchmarking or job architecture.
