Technician - Rolling Stock (Trains)

Contract Duration: 12 months

Location: North London

Pay Rates:

Umbrella -

115% Shift rate of £23.49 per hour for the first 4 weeks (Day shifts), this then increases to 130% shift rate of £26.56 per hour.

PAYE -

115% shift rate of £18.86 per hour for the first 4 weeks (Day shifts), this then increases to 130% shift rate of £21.32 per hour.

Shift pattern: Days initially (4 weeks) then a Combination of Days and Lates, Nights TBC.

Description:

With minimal supervision undertake Production, Modifications and Repair of the allocated wheelsets/rolling stock components adhering to the requisite processes and procedures.
Assist other team members with the Production duties in order to develop technical skills.
Working as part of the Production Engineering team, this role involves mechanical Production Duties.Knowledge & Experience

Experience in a mechanical/electrical engineering or process environment
Experience of basic fault finding
Ability to complete all records of actions and operations accurately and to procedures
Ability to understand and care for tools, equipment and PPE
Knowledge of Health & Safety including bio hazards, manual handling and Control of
Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
Ability to use a computer
Ability to understand and interpret relevant technical publications
