I am currently looking for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to work for a very reputable ground works contractor who are delivering the ground works & frame for a large new build retail unit in Falmouth.

Key Responsibilities:

Setting out for groundworks, foundations, drainage, and external works

*

Accurate positioning and checking of holding down bolts and base plates

*

Overseeing and verifying drainage installation and associated works

*

Producing and updating site drawings using AutoCAD

*

Interpreting construction drawings and specifications

*

Managing QA checks, as-builts, and site records

*

Coordinating with site managers, subcontractors, and surveyors

*

Ensuring works are delivered to specification and programme

*

Supporting health & safety compliance on site

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Site Engineer on groundworks or civils projects

*

Strong experience with holding down bolts, drainage, and foundations

*

Proficient in AutoCAD

*

Competent with setting out equipment (GPS / Total Station)

*

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

*

Good communication and reporting skills

*

CSCS card (essential)

*

SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable but not essential)
