The Best Connection Middlesbrough is currently recruiting for a Class 1 tramper for our respected client based in Stockton. This will involve 3-5 nights out per week consisting mainly of trunking runs with occasional local drops. You will be driving a flatbed vehicle and must be comfortable strapping and unstrapping loads. There will be no handball involved in this role.
Pay rate:
- £16.50 - Monday to Friday
Shift Pattern:
- Start times between 04:00-07:00
Job roles:
- Load Securing: Expertly strapping, chaining, and securing loads to prevent movement or damage during transit, particularly for steel lengths and construction materials.
- Operating Vehicle: Driving articulated lorries with flatbed trailers.
- Delivery & Logistics: Transporting goods between depots, manufacturing sites, and construction sites.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conducting daily vehicle checks (pre-shift) to ensure roadworthiness.
- Documentation: Completing paperwork, including Proof of Delivery (POD).
