Multi Skilled Maintenance & Repairs Engineer (Multi Trade)

Plumbing & Carpentry Biased | Reactive Works | Commercial Environments | £38-40K + Van & Package | £50-60K OTE | Paid Weekly.

Overview:

Due to continued growth and demand, we are actively recruiting a Multi Skilled Maintenance & Repairs Engineer to join a busy and fast-paced reactive team. You'll work on a mobile basis across Central London, Greater London, and the Home Counties (max 90 mins from home), supporting well-known hospitality and retail brands with a wide range of plumbing, carpentry, and fabric repairs.

Package Summary:

* Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance & Repairs Engineer (Multi Trade)

* Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 basic

* Estimated Earnings: £50,000 - £60,000 OTE

* Status: Permanent, PAYE - Paid Weekly

* Location: London + Home Counties (travel up to 90 mins max from home)

* Van Provided: Business-use van + fuel card

* 29 days annual leave (incl. bank holidays)

* Company phone, uniform, tools provided

* Pension contribution

* High volume of optional paid overtime

* Overtime rates: Sundays & Bank Holidays (all times) or Mon-Sat overnight: x2 rate / Mon-Sat: x1.5 rate (until midnight)

* Call-Out Rota: 1 in 4 weeks: £80 per callout + overtime (avg. 10 per week = £10-15K p.a. add-on)

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

* Carry out reactive maintenance and emergency repairs across commercial premises.

* Complete minor refurbishments, installations, and fabric upgrades to a high standard.

* Typical Plumbing Works: Clearing blockages, replacing toilets, taps, sinks, urinals, baths, fixing leaks, washers, flushers, pipework

* Typical Carpentry/Joinery Works: Door and lock repairs/replacements, door closers, handles etc, general fixtures & fittings, ceiling and carpet tile replacement, boarding up damaged areas (e.g. shopfronts), plasterboarding walls/ceilings, building stud walls, assembling furniture, general woodwork

* Basic Tiling, Painting & Decorating (internal and external)

* Leak detection and roof/ceiling patch repairs

* Respond to callouts from minor works to major emergency works.

* Isolate services and make areas safe as needed

* Liaise with clients/site managers/helpdesk to complete jobs efficiently

* Maintain van stock, tools, and uphold all H&S and company policies

* Update job information via CAFM system and complete digital reports

Requirements:

* A recognised trade qualification is preferred (or proven “time served” experience)

* Comfortable handling multi-trade tasks independently (plumbing, carpentry, etc.)

* Strong experience in fault finding and emergency works

* Prior experience in commercial settings (retail, hospitality, etc.) is ideal

* Confident working client-facing in active sites

* Full UK driving licence (no more than 9 points)
