Mechanical Maintenance Tradesperson

Salary: £34,132 - £36,130 per annum (overtime/shift work available)

A respected higher education institution located in the heart of London is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Tradesperson to join their Facilities Management team. Working on behalf of the university, we are managing the search for an experienced individual to help maintain its dynamic campus environment.

Role Overview

You'll play a pivotal role within the Maintenance Department, carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a diverse university estate. Responsibilities will include servicing and repairing equipment such as:

• Air Handling Units (AHUs)
• Piped and ducted systems
• Pumps and pressurisation units
• General plumbing and pipefitting tasks

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will bring:

• A recognised qualification such as a City & Guilds certificate or completion of a Mechanical Craft Apprenticeship
• Proven expertise across a broad range of mechanical and electrical services
• Experience working on mechanical services within buildings across large estates
• Holding or working towards Gas Safe accreditation is desirable.
