About the Role
Multicare is seeking a motivated and skilled Installation Engineer to join our dynamic Operations Team. This hands-on role involves installing specialist assistive equipment in diverse environments—from large construction sites to schools and private homes.
You'll primarily install ceiling hoists, but also work with height-adjustable baths, basins, changing couches, and other mobility solutions. Your work will directly support our mission: delivering every installation on time, in full, and free of errors.
Key Responsibilities

Install and commission equipment to manufacturer and regulatory standards
*
Attend project handovers and liaise with clients
*
Load and check equipment and tools before travel
*
Maintain accurate records via our ERP system
*
Comply with Health & Safety procedures and site-specific Risk Assessments
*
Drive company vehicle safely and courteously
*
Support and train junior team members when required
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Qualifications
*
Ability to read and follow technical drawings and installation instructions
*
Competent with power tools and working at height (mobile towers, MEWPs)
*
Experience in construction site environments
*
Full UK driving licence
*
Strong problem-solving skills and initiative
*
Positive, “can-do” attitude with attention to detail
*
Basic IT skills and ability to use a tablet
*
Clean Enhanced DBS check
*
Physically fit and customer-focused
Preferred (but not essential)
*
Experience installing mobility equipment
*
PASMA, IPAF, CITB or SSSP certifications (training can be provided)
Training & Development
We provide full training on our Simpro Job Management System, along with manufacturer and in-house training for all equipment you'll be working with.
