Are you a calm, patient, and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with learning difficulties and behavioural needs?

GSL Education are looking for a confident and caring SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a supportive school in Durrington this September. This full-time, long-term role involves working closely with pupils with a range of learning disabilities, often requiring support with behaviour management and emotional regulation.

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key part in helping students feel safe, understood, and engaged in their learning. You'll be working both 1:1 and in small groups, offering guidance, encouragement, and tailored support throughout the school day.

Responsibilities:

Provide consistent support for pupils with learning disabilities and behavioural challenges.
Build trusting relationships to help pupils feel secure and supported.
 Use positive behaviour strategies to help pupils stay focused and regulated.
Assist with learning tasks, communication, and social development.
Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and support staff to ensure individual needs are met.
Candidate Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN, especially those with learning difficulties and behavioural needs.
Confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm, compassionate way.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and adaptability.
A CV covering the last 10 years (with explanations for any gaps).
An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
