Mechanical Inspector

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum
Location: 10 minutes from Uxbridge / ~40 minutes via public transport
Hours: Mon-Thurs 08:00-17:00, Fri 08:00-12:00 (37 hours per week)
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x basic rate (5-10 hours per week available)

We're recruiting a Mechanical Inspector for a global aerospace manufacturer near Uxbridge. You'll be part of a quality-first team, inspecting precision-engineered components that are used in safety-critical applications worldwide.

What you'll be doing:

Inspect machined and goods-in components using precision tools (verniers, calipers, micrometers)

Interpret engineering drawings and check components to tight tolerances

Complete inspection documentation with high accuracy

Record data in SAP and document non-conformances

Work to aerospace quality standards

What we're looking for:

Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T

Skilled in precision measuring equipment (metric and imperial)

Previous experience in Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, or Subcontract Manufacturing

CMM/PC-DMIS experience (advantageous but not essential)

Knowledge of Hexagon Laser Scanning Arm is a bonus
