Hippo Staffing Solutions are supporting a reputable provider in Sheffield to recruit a highly skilled Senior Registered Manager to oversee multiple Children's Residential Homes. This is an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished Registered Manager seeking progression into multi-site leadership.

As the Senior Registered Manager, you will lead Registered Managers across several homes, uphold high-quality standards, drive service development, support Ofsted excellence, and ensure the safety, wellbeing, and progression of all young people across the organisation.

This role requires an inspirational leader with exceptional communication, safeguarding, problem-solving, and quality improvement expertise.

Key Responsibilities (Senior Registered Manager)

Provide strategic oversight across multiple Children's Residential Homes.

*

Mentor, guide, and performance-manage individual Registered Managers.

*

Ensure each home delivers high-quality, child-centred care that meets Ofsted standards.

*

Oversee safeguarding practice, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

*

Support home managers with staff recruitment, training, supervision, and rota planning.

*

Lead on crisis management and provide senior-level decision-making.

*

Drive continuous improvement, quality assurance, and service development.

*

Ensure budgets, resources, and staffing levels are effectively managed.

*

Build strong partnerships with external agencies, professionals, and local authorities.

Essential Skills & Experience (Senior Registered Manager)

Leadership & Team Management

*

Strong, effective leadership ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams.

*

Proven experience managing residential children's homes at Registered Manager level or above.

*

Ability to recruit, train, supervise, and develop residential childcare teams.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

*

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with children, families, staff, and stakeholders.

*

Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport, handle conflict, and foster cooperative working relationships.

Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking

*

High-level problem-solving and decision-making skills.

*

Ability to assess risks, evaluate information, and identify opportunities for service improvement.

Safeguarding & Compliance

*

Extensive safeguarding expertise and experience ensuring regulatory compliance.

*

Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements, Children's Regulations, and quality standards.

Operational & Quality Leadership

*

Experience in behaviour management, person-centred care, crisis response, and therapeutic approaches.

*

Skilled in quality assurance, auditing, outcomes monitoring, and service development.

Finance & Resource Management

*

Experience managing budgets, resources, and financial sustainability across services.
