Foreman - Groundworks / Civil Engineering

I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a valued client who is looking to appoint an experienced Site Foreman with a strong background in groundworks and civil engineering.

Projects include : groundworks, concreting, 278 works, industrial parks, retail parks, agricultural buildings and civil engineering schemes.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering challenging projects across the West Sussex region, with individual project values up to £5m.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing on-site operations across foundations, drainage, earthworks and external works packages, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

You'll be working in a fast-paced environment, coordinating closely with engineers, quantity surveyors and key stakeholders to maintain programme, quality and compliance standards.

Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar groundworks/civils role
Proven experience delivering projects up to £3m
Strong programme management capability
Background in foundations, drainage, earthworks & external works
SSSTS or SMSTS and CSCS (or equivalent)
Up-to-date knowledge of H&S and industry compliance
Full UK driving licence
Strong IT skills (Word, Excel)Key Attributes

Commercial awareness with a focus on cost control
