Audit and Accounts Senior

Salary: £45,000- £55,000 (depending on experience)Location: Tunbridge WellsEmployment Type: Full-time

Reed Maidstone is delighted to be recruiting for an Audit and Accounts Senior on behalf of a well-established firm of chartered accountants located in Tunbridge Wells.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with audit managers to manage engagements from planning through to completion across a varied client base, including large corporates and not-for-profit organisations.
• Take a proactive role in leading audits, ensuring they are fully completed prior to manager and partner review.
• Prepare statutory accounts and oversee the work of junior staff in account preparation.
• Produce corporation tax computations (training available if required).
• Develop strong client relationships, acting as a reliable point of contact.
• Demonstrate commercial awareness by identifying opportunities for fee growth.
• Keep abreast of current legislation and compliance requirements in audit and accounts.
• Mentor and support junior colleagues by sharing knowledge and offering guidance.

Candidate Requirements:

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in audit and accounts.
• A personable and practical leadership style.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and complete tasks effectively.
• Up-to-date technical expertise, including awareness of recent industry changes.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and accounting software.
