Our client, a leading organization in the public sector, is seeking a highly skilled Programme Accountant to join their Business Transformation Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified CCAB/CIMA professional with extensive experience in financial management for complex programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide robust financial management information to support decision-making and assurance.
  • Advise senior leadership on financial impacts of delivery options.
  • Ensure short, medium, and long-term financial risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Uphold the integrity of financial management in the public sector, ensuring value for money for taxpayers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in a challenging delivery environment.

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience in providing effective financial support in major programmes.
  • Ability to compile and present financial management information to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and make an impact at senior levels.
  • Good knowledge of government finance, financial management, and governance.
  • Strong Excel skills.

Qualifications:

  • Fully Qualified CCAB/CIMA with post-qualification experience.
