We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic Science teacher for Maternity cover in a mainstream secondary school in the Wigan area. In this role you will be planning and delivering engaging and informative Science lessons to a range of young people across KS3 &4. This school provides lots of opportunities to gain experience across many ages and abilities and has been described as an excellent school setting by previously placed candidates.

What we offer:

* Full-time maternity cover starting in October 2025 for 12 months

* Daily rates starting from £150 per day

* A range of training courses through the national college for CPD

The ideal candidate would have experience working within a secondary school- specifically in the science department. They will be able to manage their workload effectively and have a positive and proactive attitude. This candidate will be able to engage in the wider community of the school and actively uphold the school ethos.

What you will need:

* An enhanced DBS certificate

* QTS in secondary education- preferably with a specialty in Science.

* A genuine interest in supporting children within a secondary setting.

* Experience working with secondary children- preferably in Science.
