A fantastic, well-established Residential Care Home in Four Marks, between Alton and Winchester, is currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join their team. The company has a number of homes across the South of England and are well-known for providing top quality care with all of their homes having Good or Outstanding CQC reports.

Our client strives to deliver the highest standards of care within their residential home and are seeking a strong Senior Care Assistant with previous care experience to join their dedicated care team.

About the home:

This is a beautiful 30 bedded residential care home specialising in elderly and dementia care. Their CQC report is rated "GOOD" in all areas from their last inspection and person-centred care is at the very heart of the companys values. Each room is beautifully furnished and comes with an en-suite and the home also has it's own hairdressing salon. They are located in pleasant landscaped garden close to Alton and Winchester with attractive views from the wheelchair accessible patio.

This is a full time, permanent Senior Care Assistant role (36-48 hours per week, alternate weekends) working 8-2, 2-8 and 8-8 shifts paying a fantastic £10.70 per hour weekdays and £11.20 per hour at weekends.

Senior Care Assistant Duties:

  • To supervise a team of Care Assistants and participate in the delivery of care
  • Write and update care plans
  • Train and mentor new carers
  • Responsible for the administration of medication
  • Maintain residents dignity and independence at all times

As a Senior Care Assistant you will be expected to lead by example at all times and provide strong leadership skills to the rest of the Care Assistants. You should have a strong work ethic and embody the care homes attitude towards delivering the highest standards of care.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a nursing/residential home

  • Previous experience as a Senior HCA

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care

Willingness to gain medication certificate if not already received
