Our client, a well-established and fast-growing principal contractor, is seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in refurbishment and fit-out projects to join their dynamic commercial team. Role Overview

As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the tendering process-analysing drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates. You will work closely with the pre-construction and delivery teams to ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements and deliver competitive, winning tenders.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for refurbishment and fit-out projects (typically £250k - £5m+).

Analyse tender documents, drawings, and specifications.

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.

Attend site visits and client meetings as required.

Work closely with the commercial and operational teams to develop winning strategies.

Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.

Support in handover to the delivery team post-tender award.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Estimator within a principal contractor environment.

Strong background in refurbishment and fit-out projects.

Excellent analytical, numerical, and commercial skills.

Proficient in estimating software (e.g. Conquest, Causeway, Excel).

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
