Contract Type: Term-time only (39 weeks), Permanent & Fixed-term roles

Salary: £20,500-£24,000 FTE (depending on experience and qualifications)

The role

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Do you have the empathy, patience, and creativity to help every child thrive?

We are a nurturing and inclusive SEND school located in the heart of South Buckinghamshire (SL8) and we’re looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our growing team. Our school supports children and young people aged 5-18 with a range of needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support pupils in the classroom, both 1:1 and in small groups
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to deliver personalised learning
  • Help pupils develop social, emotional, and communication skills
  • Use creativity and care to make learning accessible, engaging, and fun
  • Contribute to a positive and safe school environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people with SEND
  • Experience in a school or care setting (desirable but not essential - we value your potential)
  • Resilience, a good sense of humour, and a team-player attitude
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths)
  • Willingness to undertake training (e.g., Team Teach, safeguarding, communication approaches)
